CLIMB HAWK MOUNTAIN IN KEMPTON, PA!!!
Congratulations to Lawall Prosthetic and Orthotic Services, Emily Woolston for being named Pennsylvania Climb Captain for the ROMP (Range of Motion Project) organization. ROMP is a global for impact healthcare organization designed to provide orthotic and prosthetic care to those without access to this care. Their motto is to “Climb for Change.”
Emily is organizing a climb/hike at Hawk Mountain in Kempton, PA, which just so happens to correspond with the opening of their accessible trail! Here are Emily’s own words on why she chooses to climb for ROMP!
“I first learned about ROMP about a month ago and was immediately inspired and knew I needed to get involved. Climbing For ROMP is one way that I can help immediately, at least before I can get to Guatemala! And so I thought of my favorite place to hike in my area and thought of Hawk Mountain. And it was meant to be because they are celebrating the anniversary of ADA with the opening of fully accessible trail! This brings so much excitement to know that more families can share in the joys and peace of hiking and walking with nature, regardless of their abilities and endurance. So I am thrilled to help with the raising of funds and awareness of ROMP and I look forward to sharing this event with my loved ones, family, friends, and the special people I work with.”
